RUWACON
History
The origins of the present company date back to 1999 when Ruwa-Con was formed by Pieter Ruthven. Subsequently the then closed corporation was converted into a company (Pty) Ltd, resulting in the name being changed to Ruwacon in 2003.
The Rantsoareng family joined Ruwacon in 2010 successfully transforming the shareholding of Ruwacon to become one of the few 51% black owned 9GB / 9CE construction firms. Today, under the leadership of the Rantsoareng family, the company has an annual turnover in excess of R 1.1 Billion, employs a workforce of approximately 1100 workers and is engaged on approximately 50 active sites across South Africa.
